Thank you for considering Specialized Therapy Services for your care.  In 2002 I opened my doors with the desire to treat people as a whole person (by treating their mind, body and spirit as one being) and help them return to a painfree active lifestyle with the use of Myofascial Release.  Since 1996 I have worked in the worker’s
compensation arena as well as outpatient clinics specializing in the upper extremities and the spine
for local and national companies and have noticed that a large percentage of chronic pain
symptoms are actually symptoms of a compensatory pain pattern.  This means that a person
may have sustained an injury (either from a traumatic incident or cumulatively from repetitive
movement or positions) which caused the body to become misaligned.  This misalignment then
caused the person to adapt their posture or their movement patterns in order to evade pain and
eventually result in pain in other areas of the body.  It is for this reason that John F. Barnes P.T.
states during lectures that therapists need to listen to the symptoms of the patient but look
elsewhere for the cause in order to be truly effective care givers.

Over the past 8 years I have completed over 95% of all the classes that John currently teaches as
well as becoming an assistant instructor for his courses.  During this time I have had the pleasure
of introducing many therapists and patients to the wonderful results that can be achieved utilizing
Myofascial Release as well as mentoring new therapists both locally and nationally.   I have also
had the pleasure of lecturing for McPherson College, the national convention for the Employee
Assistance Program organization as well as in house demonstrations of Myofascial Release to
Medial, Chiropractic and Osteopathy Doctors.

Specialized Therapy Services offers patients one-on-one care in rooms that are designed for
privacy and  comfort.  As an Occupational Therapist I understand how expensive healthcare can
be, which is why I have joined as many insurance networks as possible.  Please check with your
plan if outpatient Occupational Therapy is covered in your policy.  If I am not in your network I am
pleased to work with you to make the most of your out-of-network benefits or utilize my out of
pocket prices and payment plans.  Please call 414-778-1341 to learn more about what Myofascial
Release can do for you and to schedule an appointment.
